Kids Pictures Guilt Trip

Having kids in elementary school means, getting tons of papers sent home ... both school work, and things they have made. And while I love seeing what they have been up to, and their cute little drawings, some things are repetitive and I cannot keep EVERY

paper that comes home with them. So every day I go through the folders and decide what to keep and what to toss. But they still make me feel guilty about the things I toss by saying "I worked hard on that".

The real reason I am writing this blog is because my boys came home yesterday with their spring pictures. Now, when I got the order forms for the spring pictures a few months ago, I did not fill it out, because I did not plan on buying any. We have already purchased the ones they took in the fall, and since we are living as a one income family, I try to cut back where I can. Well, even though I did not order any pictures, both of my boys still came home with a booklet of pictures. So I looked through the book, and saw just how good they turned out, and now feel like I HAVE to purchase some. Clearly, this company knows what they are doing. But my question is, what happens to the ones I don't purchase? Don't they lose money because they are printed and now wasted? And because they put them in a fancy book, is that why the price is so high? Can't they just print them and put them in an envelope like when I was in school?

Guess I'll go buy some frames and figure out where I want my husband to hang the new pictures. (My kids are cute, so it's worth it ;))

Make sure you subscribe, because I will be doing another blog to tell you what I do to help keep some memories for the kiddos.
